Most of the Transformers Fans love Soundwave because of his nice alternate mode, a cassette recorder (from original version) and even has tapes that transform into animal minions. Some of his tapes are Ravage, Laserbeak, Ratbat, Frenzy, and etc. He also has a unique robotic voice that until now retains to his character regardless of his alt-mode. He is also 1 of the loyal servant of Megatron, leader of Decepticons.
But Soundwave made some major transformation as time goes on. His toy adaptations have many different alt-mode aside from a cassette recorder. He became a tank in 1997 Machine Wars toy line, a jet in Transformers: Cybertron and a satellite in the latest 2009 movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with Ravage, a cat like robot.
- In Transformers: Animated toy
Soundwave transforms into Scion xB, a small van with designs of speakers and cassette buttons. Instead of cassette tapes, Soundwave has different instruments that transforms into his minions like Laserbeak and Ratbat. In the first released of deluxe Soundwave he comes with Laserbeak, a guitar that transforms into a bird. And in the unreleased toy of Soundwave, it comes with Ratbat, a keytar that transforms into a bat.
The toy has nice details like the outlines on the van's body look luminous and outlines in the tires that look like speakers in his robot mode. You can put the guitar on the top of the van. His chest in robot mode looks like from his original design (a cassette player's door). He can also hold his guitar for you to pose him like a rocker. Or transform Laserbeak into a bird and put it on his arm.
Grab him now for just P400 (approx. $8.5) from its original price of P699 (approx. $15) at malls nationwide.
